Dear Albertsons President & CEO Larry Johnston,

From October 2003 to February 2004, I supported Albertsons’ workers fight for affordable healthcare and a livable wage by not crossing their picket line. Now I am told that you are trying to get around their union contract – take away what you couldn’t take away at the bargaining table – by closing Albertsons stores, firing the workers, and opening Albertsons-Bristol Farms stores in their place.

I won’t stand for this, my family won’t stand for this, and our community won’t stand for this. Please work out a solution with the workers’ union that makes sense for your company and for our community. We were on the workers’ side when you locked them out of Albertsons, and we are on the workers’ side now!
